Ajnad al-Kavkaz is a Chechen-led rebel group active in northern Syria, primarily in the mountainous, forested areas of northern Latakia Governorate.
Abu Al-Bara al-Kavkazi was killed in a conflict with Syrian forces in Abu al-Duhur front on Tuesday night, Sputnik quoted local sources as saying.
The local sources added that Al-Bara al-Kavkazi was first transferred to a medical center in Khan Shaykhun, Idlib Province.
The terrorist ringleader had participated in Idlib battles with Tahrir al-Sham.
He played major role in facilitating armed forces transfer from Central Asia and Caucasus through Turkish borders to join Ajnad al-Kavkaz.
He also gave logistic and arm aids to Ajnad al-Kavkaz terrorist group.
